The Walk started in the fall of 2009. After 25 years of being very successful in the music business I decided to go in another direction when the digital world dried up over half of the publishers in Nashville. I was tired of knocking on doors on Music Row and instead replaced my cowboy hat and guitar with a little star on my shirt and became a proud member of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

Seven years later that also came to a timely end. I had also been working five nights a week doing security in Nashville

I had applied at another Sheriff’s office and the morning of my second interview I was wakened by God and told to be still and to trust Him.

I never went for my interview but that night while working my overnight security job a friend of mine called and asked if he could come see me where I worked. After he arrived, he told me how God also woke him up that morning and told him to offer me a short-term publishing deal. And just like that I was a songwriter again….

Sometimes it is in the waiting that we find what we are looking for. It is that we have a great trust in him, out of complete and true faith, for it is his will that we know that he will appear, suddenly and blessedly to all that love him.
